Powerline Installation for NPWS, DECC
We
prepared a Review of Environment Factors (REF) for the NSW National
Parks and Wildlife Services for the installation of underground
electricity power lines to supply a continuous supply of electricity to
the Quarantine Station at North Head within Sydney Harbour National
Park.
This report assesses the impact of the proposal on the environment
as well as flora and fauna and heritage values and determines if these
impacts are likely to significantly affect the conservation of the
wildlife in particular Threatened species, populations and ecological
communities. Practical recommendations to ameliorate the impact are
given.
A Test of Significance was carried out to determine the significance of impacts on the Long-nose Bandicoot (Perameles nasuta), Acacia terminalis var. terminalis and the threatened ecological community; Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub. |
